CORAL: Community Organizing and Action Lab is a research and community engagement lab that is committed to environmental justice and creating a more sustainable future. Our mission is to build capacity, center inclusion, and harness the power of collective action to impact environmental justice and build a more resilient, connected, and high impact region in Ventura County. We work with local communities, government agencies, and businesses to create lasting solutions to environmental problems. Our team is made up of passionate individuals who are dedicated to making a difference in the world.
Meet the Director
Megan Kenny Feister is an Associate Professor of Organizational Communication at California State University Channel Islands. She is passionate about environmental and social justice, project-based and experiential learning, inclusion and equity, and community engagement. Her primary research interests include collaboration and innovation; values and knowledge in team-based work; team processes and decision-making; ethics; and technology and its impacts on organizational and personal life.
Megan provides nonprofit consulting in the areas of grant writing, capacity building, general and technical communication, organizational processes and efficiencies, marketing and branding, collaboration and decision making, and networking.
